The beneficial growth of renewable energy sources, and the increase in decentralization of energy sources has brought increased transient issues in grid supply.  To maintain system reliability, enhanced short term energy storage systems have increasing been deployed. This presentation will discuss the use of supercapacitors in these systems and the benefit it provides.
